The Brooks is owned and operated by Ecumen. Based in Shoreview, Minn., Ecumen is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), and provides a variety of housing choices for people living fully after 50. The Brooks and CountrySide, which is also located in Owatonna, are sister communities.

Our name comes from the word ecumenical, derived from the Greek word for "home." Our philosophy and our promise is to create "home" for the people we serve.
